Dysphagia Bites is an Education Hub for speech pathologists that provides free & low cost resources, a podcast, a comprehensive on-demand course and as of this year a LIVE Workshop.
I'm looking for virtual assistant (VA) support so I can concentrate on doings the bits I love best: creating content.

There are two distinct roles available:

Providing Support with Beyond The Bedside Melbourne Workshop
Later this year, Dysphagia Research Bites is hosting a live, in-person workshop in Melbourne. Three days full of dysphagia, food networking and fun.
If you're Melbourne-based (or able to be), we'd love for you to be there on the day, helping with setup, materials, attendee experience, and capturing content for social media. It'll be a brilliant addition to your professional portfolio and, honestly, a really fun day.
Not Melbourne-based or can't make it in person? A remote arrangement covering all the digital and admin components of this role is absolutely on the table.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Background in allied health preferred (e.g. SLP student or allied health assistant)
- Comfortable in Canva (you don't need to be an expert but you know enough to be dangerous)
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
- Interested in online business, digital content, or health education
- Melbourne-based or able to attend the workshop in person — great bonus, not essential
- No prior VA experience required
Additional Details:
- Casual ongoing arrangement
- Remote work from wherever you are (with on site support for workshop if able)
- Flexible hours around study or other life commitments
- Hourly rate: $34-$40/hr inclusive of casual loading

About Chantelle & Dysphagia Bites
I've been a Speech Pathologist for over 15 years, working with adults with dysphagia across inpatient rehab, outpatient clinics, and home-based practice. My clinical focus and passion area is community-based dysphagia management.
Since I couldn't find dysphagia education that was built for me as a therapist working outside of the hospital, I decided to create it myself. I first started @dysphagiacommunity on instagram in August 2023.
Two years later I created the company, Dysphagia Bites and launched my first course: The Complete Clinical Swallow Evaluation for Community Practice. This course continues to be available today and over 130 students have now enrolled in the first 11 months.
I then started a podcast to provide additional free dysphagia education to speechies: Dysphagia Research Bites Podcast. And leading up to that I created multiple $7 webinars so that more SLPs could access quality education at an affordable price.
I love creating digital products for speech pathologists and I'm super excited to deliver the first in-person course by Dysphagia Bites in November!!
